Gut Health

With the growing research field of our gut microbiome, we are able to deepen our understanding of the role that our digestive system plays in our overall health. Our intestines are home to trillions of bacteria, yeasts and other microorganisms that are shown to have an intricate relationship with the other phsyiological systems in our body such as our hormonal, immune and nervous system.

An imbalance, in this complex eco-system of ours, is linked with compromised digestive symptoms, hormonal imbalances and potential mental health implications. In addition to possible dietary factors, I am always keen to explore which non-dietary aspects may be involved in a person’s digestive health such as stress, sleep, eating behaviours and their relationship with food. This is crucial in providing a wholistic approach to restoring digestive health.
